The Museum für Frühindustrialisierungn is currently closed due to extensive renovation work and the installation of a new permanent exhibition!

The Engels-House is currently closed due to extensive renovation work and the installation of a new permanent exhibition! The reopening is planned for November 28, 2020, the 200th birthday of Friedrich Engels.

Manuelskotten

Approach

The Kotten can be reached via a narrow road connecting Kohlfurth through the Kaltenbach valley with Solinger Straße, or with the Bergische Museumsbahnen (Bergische Museum Railways), which operate a historic tram line from Kohlfurth through the Kaltenbach valley. The Kaltenbach valley is also excellent for hiking from Kohlfurth or Cronenberg. It is best to take the bus CE 64 to Kohlfurther Brücke and follow the signs to the tram and Manuelskotten.

Parts of the open-air grounds and the exhibition rooms on the upper floor are unfortunately not barrier-free.
